In recognizing the importance of innovating solutions for consumers seeking instant luxurious sensory effects, Shin-Etsu Silicones of America, Inc. recently showcased a flight of new texturized products and formulations at the 2016 NYSCC Suppliers’ Day event, which was held in May in Edison, NJ. Shin-Etsu invited cosmetic chemists to step-up to the texture bar to experience nine unique formulations which included: a hydrating sleeping night mask, W/O whipped hand butter, clear skin smoothing gel, SPF 30 ultra-light physical defense cream, tea tree lavender hair and scalp serum, W/O weightless cream foundation, W/O stick foundation, bounce powder foundation and moisture surge lipstick. Each texture formulation showcased Shin-Etsu’s advanced silicone-based raw materials, which include emulsifiers, elastomer gels, silicone powders, amino modified gum blends, and UV dispersions. Shin-Etsu’s moisture surge lipstick and bounce powder foundation were break out highlights of the texture bar interactive platform. A pioneer in the field of silicones for personal care products, Shin-Etsu’s texture bar at the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day illuminated the company’s ability to offer formulators unique products with distinct characteristics that deliver key stability, functionality, and sensory advantages. “The wide range of luxurious offerings we showcased were a huge hit with customers,” said SESA’s Cosmetics Application Laboratory team leader Janine Cherette. “Being able to interact with the formulations directly at the show allowed them to actually see our ability to be at the forefront of trending cosmetic silicone solutions−offering formulators innovative sensorial benefits for a wide variety of product applications for today’s personal care market.”
