A candid look at how Agilex is evolving its creative, scientific, and operational strengths to meet the demands of a shifting fragrance market.
Released By Agilex Fragrances
November 26, 2025
As Agilex Fragrances enters a new chapter of growth and transformation, Tathiana Remick, President, Agilex, Perfumery & Beauty is helping to redefine what agility, creativity, and partnership mean in today’s rapidly evolving fragrance landscape. She has guided the company through significant operational and cultural evolution while strengthening its connection to the science, innovation and global capabilities of dsm-firmenich.
In this conversation, Tathiana reflects on Agilex’s journey, the opportunities shaping the middle market, and how the company is positioning itself as a trusted partner for brands seeking both speed-to-market and substance. From expanded creative resources to renewed investment in people, she shares her vision for a more connected, resilient, and future-focused Agilex.
Q: Since joining Agilex, how would you describe the company’s evolution and your priorities for the future?
A: When I joined Agilex 18 months ago, I discovered a company with incredible creative talent and a deep entrepreneurial spirit. Over the past year, we’ve turned challenges into momentum by strengthening our systems, refining communication and focusing on what matters most: being a dependable high-performing partner for our clients. The transformation brought valuable lessons about resilience and connection. Our mission today is clear: to be the most trusted, agile, and innovative fragrance partner in the middle market. For us, agility means more than speed; it’s about adaptability, creativity, and designing solutions around each client’s unique needs and goals.
Q: Agilex has always been known for creativity and speed. What makes Agilex stand out today?
A: Our people. The heart of Agilex is our talented team of perfumers, evaluators and marketers who know how to translate insight into olfactive impact. They do so quickly and with precision. We now combine that agility with the unmatched science, innovation, and ingredient mastery of dsm-firmenich. This gives our clients something rare in the middle market: the creativity and responsiveness of a boutique house powered by the research, sustainability expertise, and technology of a global leader.
Q: Where do you see the greatest opportunities for Agilex to lead and differentiate in today’s evolving market?
A: The middle market is where creativity meets constraint. Brands need to move fast, stand out, and deliver value. That’s where Agilex excels. Our perfumers are experts at creating high-impact fragrances that perform beautifully across categories supported by dsm-firmenich’s ingredient innovation and global reach. We’ve also reinforced traceability and quality assurance, ensuring reliability and consistency across every fragrance we produce. This combination: creativity, operational strength, and flexibility is what sets us apart.
Q: The dsm-firmenich complementary capabilities have become essential for Agilex. What does that partnership mean in practice?
A: It means access, innovation, depth of resources, and confidence. We remain the same approachable Agilex that clients know, but now we’re backed by the world’s leading science in fragrance and ingredient technology. Our collaboration gives clients exclusive access to patented ingredients, biotechnology and sustainability platforms all tailored for the needs of mid-market brands. It’s truly the best of both worlds: local agility with global capability.
Q: How does this connection enhance Agilex’s creative and scientific edge?
A: Our perfumers now have access to an expanded ingredient palette which includes patented molecules, renewable materials and innovative naturals that allow us to push olfactive and performance boundaries. Together with dsm-firmenich, we’re creating fragrances that are not only beautiful but also more sustainable and technically advanced. It’s about bringing more science into creativity, and more value into every partnership.
Q: Agilex is known for close client collaboration. How is that partnership model evolving?
A: Partnership now means co-creation. Our clients look to us not just for speed, but for strategy and white space opportunities. They rely on us to stretch their brand reach and unlock value. With the resources of dsm-firmenich behind us, we’re able to engage earlier in the development process, aligning on performance, compliance, and consumer trends from the start. We remain entrepreneurial and accessible, but with reliability, transparency, and innovation built into every collaboration.
Q: Agilex’s culture has been through a major transformation. How are you investing in your people?
A: Our people carried us through a period of tremendous challenge and change, especially during our systems integration journey. That experience revealed the strength and dedication of our teams. Now, we’re investing back through training, recognition and tools that empower every team member to succeed. We’re building a culture rooted in accountability, creativity and care. When our people feel connected and supported, that energy translates directly into the agility and service our customers experience every day.
Q: Sustainability is central to dsm-firmenich’s purpose. How is Agilex bringing that to life?
A: Sustainability is by design at Agilex. It’s embedded in how we create, source, and deliver. Together with dsm-firmenich, we’re advancing key 2030 targets focused on:
Low carbon impact – reducing fragrance carbon footprints while enhancing olfactive excellence.
Biodegradability – designing scents that exist in harmony with nature’s ecosystems.
Responsibly Sourced Naturals – honoring nature and the people behind every ingredient.
Through these commitments, we’re helping clients meet growing consumer expectations for responsible beauty while maintaining performance, creativity and speed-to-market.
Q: Looking ahead, what does success mean for Agilex?
A: Success is about rebuilding confidence and delivering consistently. We want our clients to feel that Agilex is a reliable, creative, and forward-thinking partner. It’s also about our people feeling proud of their work and the progress we’re making. Ultimately, success means proving that the middle market can have it all: agility, creativity, value, and access to world-class science, backed by dsm-firmenich.
