The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) has released its latest tranche of wellness data, including country rankings information. The new report, released in January by the non-profit organization, measures the wellness markets of 145 countries, including per capita spending on wellness in each country.

The five largest wellness markets—which represent 58% of the total wellness economy—are the US ($2.1 trillion), China ($950 billion), Germany ($281 billion), Japan ($262 billion) and the UK ($261 billion).

GWI tracks wellness in many areas: beauty and personal care, wellness tourism, physical activity, healthy eating, weight loss, public health, personalized medicine and more.

This breakdown shows the differences, by the key sectors of wellness tracked by GWI, for select countries.
