The wait was worth it. After a 15-year hiatus, In-Cosmetics Global returned to London.

The wait was worth it. After a 15-year hiatus, In-Cosmetics Global returned to London and most exhibitors said that they were pleased with the quantity and the quality of attendees. In-Cosmetics’ organizer, Reed Exhibitions, was pleased as well. Last month’s In-Cosmetics Global, which was held April 4-6 at London’s ExCel exhibition hall, welcomed 8,746 attendees, about 1,000 less than last year’s event in Paris, but still the biggest event outside of the City of Light. More specifically, attendance in London was up 2% over Barcelona (2015) and according to Reed, 26% of attendees came from the UK. “The event in London was a resounding success,” observed Cathy Laporte, senior exhibition director, In-Cosmetics Global. “We were particularly pleased with the turnout, with an overall unique visitor attendance of almost 9,000 and 26% of visitors coming from within the UK. This was a brilliant result for us, especially as London has not hosted the event in 15 years.” In addition to hundreds of exhibitors, the 2017 verision of In-Cosmetics Global included a number of new features, including the Makeup Bar and Sustainability Corner. “We received some excellent feedback and both features will definitely return for the 2018 show in Amsterdam,” added Laporte. “All the seminars were standing room only and the show itself looked impressive as a result of significant exhibitor investment in their stands.” In 2018, In-Cosmetics Global will take place in Amsterdam, April 17-19 and, judging by pre-bookings, the event will be popular with exhibitors and attendees alike. “With 90% of exhibitor space already booked—and our highest-ever onsite rebooking levels, the confidence shown by the industry in our brand is at its highest,” said Laporte. “Striving to constantly improve our offer, we are looking at introducing a second Formulation Lab and the successful Formulation Challenge, pioneered at In-Cosmetics North America last year.” In-Cosmetics North America will take place Oct. 11-12, 2017 at the Javits Center in New York City. Other upcoming events: In-Cosmetics Korea, June 20-22; In-Cosmetics Latin America, Sept. 20-21; In-Cosmetics Asia, Oct. 31-Nov. 2. More info: www.in-cosmetics.com
