Phase A – Weigh out Phase A materials into main vessel. Heat to 70℃ with mixing. Phase B – In a separate vessel weigh out Phase B ingredients and heat to 40-45℃ with mixing. Phase C – Once Phase B vessel reaches temperature, begin adding Phase C ingredients. Continue heating Phase BC to 70℃ and mix until the solution is uniform. When Phase BC reaches temperature, add Phase BC to Phase A with moderate mixing until an opaque liquid solution is formed. Discontinue heat. Allow mixture to begin cooling. Continue mixing at moderate speed to ensure phases combine well. Phases D and E – At 40℃ to 45℃, add Phases D and E. Continue mixing until mixture cools to 25℃ to 30℃. Transfer to a suitable vessel.
pH: 6 to 7. Viscosity: spindle #4@ 30 rpm (25°C) – 5,000 to 6,000 cst.
