Add the first five ingredients individually into the main tank (water phase). Heat to 75-80˚C. Mix until homogeneous. For oil phase, add the next five ingredients in a separate tank and heat to 75-80˚C. Mix until homogeneous. When both phases are ready, add oil phase into main tank. Maintain the temperature at 75-80°C. Rinse the oil phase with #11 (DI water), then add to main tank. Mix for 10 minutes. Below 50˚C, add #12-15. Mix until homogeneous. Add ingredient #16 into the main tank to give the colorant. Mix at high shear. Add ingredient #17 to adjust the pH (6.5-7.5).
pH—6.5-7.5; Viscosity (Viscosity (RVT B/0.5 rpm)—220,000-520,000 cP; Stability—Passed 12 weeks @ 45 ˚C.
