Phase A: Dissolve allantoin in glycerin and water under stirring. Weigh Phase B and add it to Phase A while stirring. Mix well for 10 min at 800-1000 rpm. Add Phase C to the Phase A+B mixture and stir for 15 min at 1000 rpm. Incorporate Phase D and Phase E and mix well.
(Measured after 24 hours): Appearance—Light off-white lotion. pH—5.5–6.0. Viscosity—16000 – 20000 cP (Brookfield RVT, 20 rpm, spindle 6). Stability—Passed 3 months @ RT, 40°C and 1 month @ 50°C, Passed LumiSizer (equivalent 9 months @ 40°C) (Parameters: 3h14/40°C/intensity 2/ filter 870nm/2000g).
