Procedure

Pre-weigh ingredients of Phase A. Mix and heat to 40-45°C, homogenize until uniform, then cool down at 30-35°C. In a separate beaker add ingredients of Phase C and heat to 65°C while mixing until clear. Cool down the Phase C to 35-40°C. Pulverize Phase B and add to Phase C while mixing at moderate to high speed. Add Phase A to BC slowly while mixing at moderate to high speed for about 10 minutes. Switch to slow sweep and add Phase D. Continue mixing until all in. Cool to RT.

Properties

(25°C): Viscosity—25,000-35000 cps; Appearance—white W/Si emulsion.
