Phase E

  • Ronaflux Specular Green (Merck) (CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide) (and) Mica (and) Silica (and) Carbon))

Phase F

  • Citric acid (10% sol.) (Water/Aqua (and) Citric Acid)

Procedure

In the main vessel, mix phase A ingredients until fully dissolved. At RT, disperse phase B ingredients both together into water and homogenize until the gel is clear and smooth. At RT, sprinkle in phase C ingredient and mix well until the gel is smooth.  In a side beaker, mix phase D at 50°C until clear At RT, add phase D and mix well. At RT, add phase E ingredients to the main vessel and mix well until sparkles are evenly dispersed. At RT, add phase F to adjust pH and mix well. Stop at 25°C.

Properties

Description: purple blue sparkling gel; pH: 6.30–6.80 viscosity (24h): 40 000–50 000cps (Brookfield RVT | Spindle B | 5 RPM | 1 minute | 25°C).
