Phase C

  • Inutec (Beneo Chemicals) (Inulin lauryl carbamate)
  • 0.30

Phase D

  • Lysofix Liquid (Glycerin (and) glycine soja (soybean) seed extract)
  • 3.00
  • Cocoamidopropyl betaine
  • 2.00

Phase E

  • Citric acid (33.3% solution) q.s. to pH
  • 5.0-5.5

Procedure

Weigh Phase A in the main beaker and mix while homogenizing. Weigh Phase B in side beaker and mix with overhead mixer. Sprinkle Phase C in Phase B and allow to mix. When Phase B dispersion is homogeneous, add to Phase A and homogenize for 10 minutes. Transfer to sweep mixing. Add Phase D slowly to avoid foaming. Adjust pH with Phase E and mix until uniform.

Properties

Stability—stable for 5 freeze-thaw cycles; stable for 3 months at 40°C and 50°C; Appearance—Two-layered mixture that forms an emulsion easily when mixed; Color—Brilliant blue/Creamy white; Odor—Fragrance-free; pH: 4.5-6.5 at 20°C.
