Procedure

Phase A-In main vessel add phase A and begin heating to 75°C. Phase B-In separate vessel add phase B and begin heating to 50°C. At 50°C add phase C to phase B and heat to 75°C. Phase C-At 75°C add Phase BC to Phase A with moderate to high speed, followed by homogenizing for 1-2 minutes. Phase D-Cool Phase ABC to 45-50°C and add Phase D. Phase E-Continue cooling Phase ABCD to 40°C and add Phase E. Continue cooling Phase ABCDE to 25°C. Phase F-Premix Phase F and add to Phase ABCDE at 25°C. Note: Viscosity will decrease slightly. Begin with prop mixing followed by homogenizing at 1000 – 2000 rpm until incorporated into the mixture.

Properties

pH—6.60; Viscosity—11,000 cst, sp05, 10 rpm.
