As consumers are keen on the sheen, body serum is, well, spreading in popularity and extending beyond just the face. 

 

In the last month, views for #bodyserum on TikTok have grown +15.9%, according to beauty trend tracker Spate, constituting the fastest-growing bath and body trend on the platform. Spate calls the current trend an “important reminder” for brands to expand the focus of skincare from the face and neck down to the toes. 
 

Rinna Beauty—the founder of which is the legendary model, actress and television personality Lisa Rinna—is among the latest brands to jump on the body oil bandwagon to replicate the face’s glowing, hydrated and smooth-as-butter complexion elsewhere on the body. 
 

Rinna’s given her first scented body oil a cheeky moniker: “Dryp Tease.”
 

“It’s about sex. Because why? Because sex sells,” Rinna told Happi in an exclusive interview. 

Crafted by Robertet, Dryp Tease is a clean, vegan formula that is silky and lightweight to the touch with scents to match the feel of it: vanilla orchid, sandalwood, cedar wood and wild fig. Jojoba, argan and sunflower seed oils and rosemary leaf extract nourish the skin for a touchably soft and smooth feel, according to the brand.

 

“Having your body look moisturized— especially since we’re going into spring and summer— is lovely and it has a nice little shimmer to it. And it’s a dry oil, so it’s not greasy.… It’s fun to have that it our arsenal now,” Rinna said.

Also new at Rinna Beauty are its Larger Than Life Plumping Oils—another hot beauty trend making waves on social media. Rinna says it is her aim to use her brand to do good and make people feel better about themselves. 

 

“I think if you look good and you feel like you look good, you feel better,” mused Rinna. “And I think that taking care of oneself and trying to figure out a way to love yourself is really so important and can never be overlooked.”

 

As a testament to the brand's commitment to better lives, Rinna Beauty has teamed up with the JED Foundation, a nonprofit that protects emotional health and helps prevent suicide among the nation’s teens and young adults. 

 

In the last two months, three young people sadly made headlines after committing suicide as a result of being victims of bullying at their schools: 14-year-old Adriana Kuch from New Jersey; 11-year-old Felicia LoAlbo-Melendez from New Jersey; and Terry Badger III, a 14-year-old boy from Ohio. 

 

“I want to use Rinna Beauty as a channel to make people feel better about themselves, and not just on the physical level. We want to ensure that we can make a difference inside someone as well,” said Rinna. 

 

Rinna added it is her hope that others beauty will speak up and out in support of the cause.

 

“I just think it’s so important,” she said. “If you can do it, everybody can. Why not bring awareness?”
