MAC Cosmetics was used as the official makeup and skin partner for the highly anticipated Gaurav Gupta’s Spring/Summer 2025 Paris Couture show.
Gaurav Gupta is an Indian fashion designer known for his avant-garde couture that blends traditional Indian craftsmanship with futuristic silhouettes. His creations have been worn by stars like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Kardashian, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and more.
MAC Global Senior Artist Marieke Thibaut served as the key makeup artist. Thibaut was inspired by the ethereal beauty of astral projection, transcending the ordinary to embrace the extraordinary. Illuminated skin with a soft finish, MAC Strobe Cream serving as the base, sculpted subtle contouring and neutral and cool tones for the lips to complement each of the models complexion.
“To enhance the natural beauty of models and give them an unrealistic glow, the beauty essential is to use the strobe cream before anything else to amplify the multi-dimensional reflections on the skin,” said Marieke Thibaut, MAC Global Senior Artist. “The perfect combination with the studio radiance foundation and concealer to create a muted and luminous skin on one and each other. The natural features of the face are enhanced by a gentle contour for cheeks and eyes and a nude lip in neutral and cool tones according to the model’s skin tones using a variation of shades in the New MAC Nudes collection. There will be even more contrast added on the skin by giving shape to the inner light as a delicate shimmery white-to-silver veil placed as the third eye on the forehead.”
