Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi shows the efficacy of Garnier's All-in-1 Waterproof Micellar Cleansing Water.

People like drama as much as they like the running mascara it paints on one’s smeared facial canvas after crying a river of tears over a devastation artist.

But, just as drama and the cathartic waterworks it produces, the marketing team at Garnier agrees a little drama is a necessary part of “living life out loud” and being proud of one’s convictions, however frowned upon. And, people need a hearty dose of drama just as makeup wearers need a good makeup remover.

To help consumers embrace their tears over feeling ashamed of them, Garnier has partnered with the OGs of reality television known for their histrionic display of emotion in promotion of the brand’s All-in-1 Waterproof Micellar Cleansing Water featured in its new Water Works campaign. The campaign features Jersey Shore‘s Nicole “Snoozi” Polizzi, Luann de Lesseps from The Real Housewives of New York City, Love Island’s Amaya Elizabeth, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula from Summer House and Ashley Iaconetii from The Bachelor in Paradise. The innovation, powered with micelle technology and cleansing agents, is a dual-phase formula that effortlessly breaks down the toughest longwear and waterproof mascara while being kind to skin. The brand describes the experience of using the product as refreshing with skin feeling clean, soothed and prepared for what comes next.

Cleaning Up the ‘Ugly Cry’

Just ask Polizzi, whose unforgettable crying scene when the Jersey Shore gang visited Italy a decade ago crying out her famous line, “Where’s my boyfriend?!” made the reality star yearn for Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water, which would have come in handy.

“Drinks were flowing, emotions were everywhere, and I was pushed to the waterworks,” she recalled on an Instagram post while wiping off a thick layer of makeup and mascara with a single swipe of product. “If I had the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and the cleansing pads back in the day when I was a hot mess express, I would have looked amazing. Those iconic ugly cries would’ve been way cuter.”

If there’s one thing Polizzi loves that produces the good kind of water, it’s her micellar cleansing water and pads. They remove just as much sweat and makeup as they wipe the slate clean of emotion and dried tears.

“I’m feeling so nice and clean and moisturized,” said Polizzi. “I’m literally loving these cleansing pads. They’re so freaking soft. I love you!”
