Runway previews of all the beauty looks by Tarte, Pat McGrath, Paul Mitchell and more industry leaders.
March 2, 2026
By: Melissa Meisel
If you want to know what’s going to be your brand’s top selling SKUs for the upcoming fall or holiday season, just look at the fashion runways right now.
Here’s a roundup of all the big beauty looks to inspire your next winning personal care product straight from New York Fashion Week 2026:
New York–based fashion and lifestyle brand LoveShackFancy unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 collection with an evocative presentation steeped in heritage and modernity, according to event organizers.
Serving as the official makeup sponsor, Tarte Cosmetics, led backstage by makeup artist Shyanna Lundi, created beauty looks defined by “luminous skin and romantic color.”
At the heart of each look was Shape Tape Concealer, delivering “sculpted skin with a lit-from-within glow.”
“LoveShackFancy is rooted in romance, confidence and individuality,” said Maureen Kelly, founder and CEO of tarte cosmetics. “We wanted the makeup to enhance that spirit – elevated, expressive and effortlessly beautiful.”
“We began both looks with Shape Tape stick concealer to create sculpted, luminous skin that feels lit from within,” said Lundi. “From there, one look leaned into girly grunge with hazy, softly smoked eyes using smolderEyes, while the other explored monochrome romance through a velvety, diffused flush of macaron blush.”
Lead hairstylist Brent Lawler, alongside the Batiste team, served as LoveShackFancy presentation’s official styling hair sponsors, creating an “undone-yet-polished” look.
Using Wet Brush Frizz-Free Detangler for detangling, Lawler relied on Batiste dry shampoo to build texture and airy volume.
Lawler said about the look: “I wanted a concept that is clear and cohesive. I love a bow and bows are part of the DNA of the brand. I wanted to give a look that is more lived in, more casual, more wintry and natural. It’s the girl that loves to party but also loves poetry. So if she wakes up in the morning with the bow still in her hair, she just throws on her ballet flat and heads out the door for coffee.”
Models walked the Coach Fall/Winter 2026 runway with radiant skin courtesy of Pat McGrath Labs.
According to McGrath, who is back at her beauty brand as creative director, “Coach FW26 explores a sense where being true to yourself meets instinct and imagination. The collection celebrates individuality and self-expression. The makeup is a reflection of balance with fresh, glowing skin and understated details that feel natural, expressive and lived-in, she said.
McGrath used Divine Skin: Rose 001 The Essence and Hydrating Glow Cream layered with Sublime Perfection Foundation.
The eyes are “delicately structured with sheer traces of taupes” using Divine Bronze Luxe Quad: Venusian Sunrise and finished with FetishEyes Mascara. The lips remain untouched and naturally hydrated with Lip Fetish Sheer Color Balm in Clear, according to McGrath.
Pat McGrath’s Back After Bankruptcy: As reported in Happi, Pat McGrath has gained an investor after filing for bankruptcy earlier in the year. Get the details here.
At the Marc Jacobs show, celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi served as key nail artist and nails were “stripped back to the essentials.”
Backstage, the Jinsoon team focused on hand care, prepping each model with Primrose + Honeysuckle Healing Cuticle Oil, Camellia Glow Renewing Peeling Balm and Argan + Rose Moisturizing Hand Cream.
For pedicures, the finishing touch was a buff and shine using the Effortless Buffer & Shiner for a “flawless, natural” finish.
Oribe Session Stylist Holli Smith took a “twisted, playful approach” by creating custom wigs that mirrored the model’s natural hair textures and colors.
The Cinq à Sept Fall/Winter 2026 Collection celebrated the brand’s 10-year anniversary by drawing inspiration from the ‘70s era with a baroque twist. Kien Hoang, Oribe principal artist of global design, brought this vision to life with a lived-in curly look for hair.
For Bohemian waves, prep hair with Oribe Swept Up Volume Powder Spray on the roots of the hair and apply Oribe Imperméable Anti-Humidity Spray to add texture and volume. Finish with Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for a “lived-in finish,” according to Hoang.
During the Sandy Liang Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection show, Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer was used backstage as the essential first step for all makeup artists and nail technicians. The mist ensured “clean, refreshed hands” throughout makeup application for all artists and manicures on all models.
Zaldy men’s NYFW show was led by celebrity stylist Danilo Dixon using Paul Mitchell.
Dixon created looks that “balanced elegance with rebellion.” The direction pulled from elements and techniques of the past with a couture nod, mixing shaved heads, braids, ’50s rockabilly influence and ’80s new wave with a touch of punk. Layered Paul Mitchell Extra Body Sculpting Foam was used for volume and Paul Mitchell Texturizing Spray for detail and controlled breakdown, said Dixon.
