It’s the day beauty enthusiasts waited for all year… National Lipstick Day!
While beauty brands like MAC and Estée Lauder have their annual sale offering 40- and 30% off select lip products, respectively, Revlon turned the day into a month-long lip fête.
Throughout July, Revlon celebrated with exclusive deals on select lip products at retail partners, and a consumer pop-up in Toronto, Canada at The Welcome Market on July 25, 26 and 27.
“A bold lip is more than makeup—it’s a statement,” said Ronnie Tremblay, Revlon Canada Beauty Educator & Celebrity Makeup Artist. “After 20 years in the industry, I’ve watched it transform faces and moods alike. Revlon takes that transformation further as Canada’s most trusted lipstick brand,” “When color meets confidence, the result is unforgettable. That’s what Revlon delivers—every swipe, every shade, every formula, all July.”
Revlon is known for its various collections, like ColorStay, Super Lustrous and the newly launched Glimmer collection, which includes a lip gloss with plant-based glitter, a sample of which was given to guests at the pop-up.
“Lipstick really is a secret weapon in the palm of your hand and has the ability to empower and transform those who wear it,” said Krista Cunningham, general manager of Revlon Canada. “Whether it’s the perfect understated nude to accentuate your natural look or a bold red lip to give an extra boost of confidence, wearing lipstick is an active expression of individuality.”
Speaking of nudes and reds, Clarins Lip Comfort Oil, from the Canyon Kiss Collection, is inspired by the beauty of sunlit canyons. The limited-edition collection contains hues Fleeting Dew and Rosy Grace – its bestselling lip oil – in warm, earthy shades to hydrate, comfort and plump. Formulated with 90% ingredients of natural origin, the lip oil features three responsibly harvested essential oils. Organic Sweetbriar Rose oil is hand-harvested and rich in Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids; cold-pressed Organic Jojoba oil— rich in Omega-9 fatty acids; and Hazelnut oil. A new hue from the Canyon Kiss Collection will land this month.
Speaking of new drops, Rare Beauty’s newest product is the Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss. The smooth, glassy, non-sticky lip gloss contains shimmer while hydrating lips instantly and over time. Six shades include Dazzle in sheer blue with multicolored shimmer; Beam in peachy coral with gold and pink pearl; Flicker in pink with pink and blue pearl; Glimmer – rose gold with champagne and rose gold pearl; Spark in midtone brown with rose gold and bronze pearl; and Blaze in deep brown with maroon, gold and bronze pearl.
Another beauty brand with its gloss-game on-point is Fenty’s Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shimmer Gloss Stick. The glosses come in C U In Maui in shimmering coral; Fu$$y; Flamingo Fling; Hot Chocolit; How Many Carats?!; and Icy Amethy$t.
Rose Inc Satin Lip Color rich refillable lipstick is another winner. Its creamy texture plumps lips while drenching delicate skin in moisture while imparting optimal color. The shades come in Intuitive in deep mauve; Demure in cool blush; Hypnotic in sandy beige; and Audacious.
Revlon tapped into the hot color trend with its limited-edition “Flavortown” Lip Balm. The comfortable lipstick delivers intense color and wears like a second skin. Presented in the iconic Rouge Allure black and golden click case, it’s highly concentrated pigments create an even, long-lasting result, while soft-focus microspheres combine with ultra-fine pearly particles for a luminous-matte finish. A blend of shea butter and a jojoba oil derivative instantly leaves lips feeling moisturized.
