The pandemic has altered the way consumers care for their homes—they want high-performing products that provide cleanliness, safety and peace of mind as hygiene continues to be of the utmost importance. At this week's American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Virtual Summit, Dow launched Acusol Prime 1 Polymer, its first-of-its-kind multifunctional, biodegradable dispersant. The innovation delivers enhanced performance, superior convenience and safety for people and the environment that is setting a new standard in home care, according to Dow. “Our team has made industry-leading progress in home care solutions, and we're excited to give customers the opportunity to experience our innovative technologies from the comfort of their homes,” says Farooq Alam, global strategic marketing director, Dow Home Care. “Thanks to our digital expertise, we can take the excellent interactions we usually have in person and transform them into meaningful virtual encounters, where we can collaborate with customers on the future of household care.” Since the introduction of automatic dishwashing machines over 60 years ago, consumers have demanded high shine performance without compromising on spotting or filming-however, biodegradability typically lacks in these solutions. With Acusol Prime 1 Polymer, Dow created a game-changing dispersant that enables multifunctional high performance while advancing sustainability. Unlike the current generation of minimally biodegradable dispersants, Acusol Prime 1 Polymer contains over 30% degradable carbon via OECD 302B protocol. This polymer is Dow's first multifunctional dispersant on the market, protecting dishes against all major deposits caused by hard water and food residue.
