Vaseline & Direct Relief Donate $100,000 in Grants to Medical Mobile Unit

The mobile medical units deliver primary care, dermatology, mental health support and cancer screenings to communities that have endured natural disasters.

On Nov. 19, Vaseline in partnership with Direct Relief, is announcing two $50,000 donations to support Venice Family Clinic’s (Los Angeles) and Baptist Community Health Services’ (New Orleans) mobile medical units marking 10 years of the Vaseline Healing Project advancing skin health access.

The mobile medical units deliver primary care, dermatology, mental health support and cancer screenings directly to communities that have endured natural disasters – including LA neighborhoods still recovering from this year’s wildfire, which are linked to increased skin issues, and New Orleans neighborhoods facing persistent barriers like limited transportation and scarce dermatology and healthcare since Hurricane Katrina destroyed 90% of local clinics.

The company also has been partnering with influencers for other projects, as reported in Happi.
