She joins the company from Peloton and has held senior leadership roles at Yahoo, MTV and Nielsen.
February 2, 2026
By: Melissa Meisel
SPF skincare brand Supergoop! tapped Lauren Weinberg as its new chief marketing officer.
She previously served as chief marketing officer of Peloton. At the fitness company, she led global growth initiatives such as household and personal care partnerships for the instructors. Check out Happi’s interview with Peloton’s Emma Lovewell here.
Prior to her time at Peloton, she served as chief marketing and communications officer at Square. Earlier in her career, Weinberg held senior leadership roles at Yahoo, MTV and Nielsen.
“Lauren is a world-class marketing leader with a rare ability to balance creativity, performance and operational rigor,” said Melis del Rey, chief executive officer of the company. “As Supergoop! continues to grow and introduce millions of new consumers to SPF as a daily ritual, Lauren’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our brand, deepening consumer connection and fueling long-term demand.”
“I’ve been a loyal Supergoop! user for years, so this role feels personal,” said Weinberg. “The brand has done something extraordinary—it’s made daily SPF something people actually want to use and that’s not a small thing when sunscreen is the one of the most effective ways to prevent skin cancer. I’m deeply grateful to Melis for this opportunity, and I’m excited to partner with the team to build on what’s already an incredible foundation.”
In other news, Supergoop! is Alterra Mountain Company’s official sunscreen sponsor.
The brand signed a four-year partnership with Alterra Mountain Company. It is now the official SPF sponsor across all 13 Alterra ski resorts.
Through this partnership, Supergoop! is bringing its best-selling formulas—including Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50, Play Antioxidant Body Mist SPF 50 with Vitamin C and Play Lip Balm SPF 30—to ski lovers nationwide.
In December 2025, Supergoop! tapped Melis del Rey as its new chief executive officer and board director.
With a career spent shaping some of the world’s most influential consumer businesses, her leadership spans roles at both Amazon and Happi Top 50 leader Procter & Gamble.
Most recently, del Rey served as General Manager of Amazon U.S. Health and Beauty where she led a transformation of Amazon’s US Beauty business.
