April 29, 2026
By: Melissa Meisel
Happi International Top 30 Company L’Occitane announced a leadership transition at Sol de Janeiro. Jordan Saxemard, chief marketing and digital officer for Sol de Janeiro, has been appointed chief executive officer.
He succeeds Heela Yang, who is no longer with the company that spans over 40 products across body care, fragrance and haircare. She was co-founder of Sol de Janeiro and won the Madam CJ Walker Award for Excellence in DEI in 2025 during the Personal Care Product Council Beauty Collective Summit, as seen here.
A global executive and creative leader with over two decades of experience building some of the world’s most admired brands, Saxemard brings expertise in brand development, digital acceleration and organizational leadership to the role of CEO.
The company is rolling out limited edition body lotions for May, as seen online.
Sol de Janeiro, known for its sensorial body care and bold Brazilian spirit, is also marking a new lifestyle retail partnership with launch into Urban Outfitters, as reported in Happi.
Sol de Janeiro’s limited-edition Destination Drop perfume mists were sold over spring break online at SoldeJaneiro.com. The limited-edition scents include Cheeky Biquíni, Limonada Gelada and Refresco Paraíso.
Sol De Janeiro continues to innovate in the personal care space with its first solid fragrance format, Jelly Perfume Balm, available in three scent variations.
The alcohol-free balms are said to leave translucent finish and a concentrated scent that lasts up to 10 hours, per the brand. The Jelly Perfume Balm is available in Cheirosa 62, Cheirosa 68 and Cheirosa 40.
