Silab won the ICIC Award for its natural film-forming active Liftilience in the Technology Innovative Ingredient Benchmark category at the International Cosmetics Innovation Conference (ICIC) in Shanghai.

To develop this active ingredient, Silab relied on its expertise in mastering natural and
the biopolymerization of polysaccharides. The company has developed a unique technology, the FHB technology, to obtain functionalized helical biopolymers from chestnut polysaccharides. Combining controlled hydrolysis and ionic functionalization, this technology gives Liftilience optimized, scientifically proven tensor effect and adhesion properties.

“We have been developing tensors of natural origin for over 35 years,” said Brigitte Closs-Gonthier, CEO and general manager of R&D, quality and communication at Silab. “Our strength lies in our ability to combine each generation of phytotensor with a new, increasingly sophisticated technology. The polymerization of plant proteins, the purification of natural polyoses and the biopolymerization of sugars were at the basis of our first tensors. In 2016, we developed the IBPN technology, an interpenetrating network of two biopolymers creating a tight, dense mesh, for the development of Filmexel. Today, Liftilience represents our six generation of phytotensor, based on the FHB Technology. We are very pleased to receive this award, which highlights our long-standing expertise in this field.”

Acting as a beauty enhancer and a makeup perfector, Liftilience provides multiples cosmetic benefits for the face and body, with immediate and long-lasting effects.
