Scruples Haircare is cutting into the onion trend with the launch of its Biotin Onion Treatment.

Per beauty trend tracker Spate, onion shampoo has grown by over 1,000% compared to last year, with TikTok leading the charge, analysts say. The platform owns 76.9% of the trend’s Popularity Share, generating an average of 1.8 million weekly views. On Google, it sees about 4.4K monthly searches.
Scruples’ new Biotin Onion Treatment aims to stimulate the scalp and hair growth without the pungent odor. Formulated for men and women, the products are infused with both biotin and onion as a two-step treatment or as individual shampoo or conditioner.

“I’m so excited about this product launch because now Scruples has a specific hair growth regime that is designed to help stimulate the growth of hair while strengthening the hair simultaneously,” said Scruples Creative Education Director and Celebrity Hair Stylist William Whatley.

Whatley added that the treatment imparts a citrus garden scent, and not actual onions.

Potent Benefits

Scruples new Biotin Onion Treatment strengthens the hair follicle producing thicker strands and reduces hair fall and soothes the scalp. Onion extract, rich in antioxidants, helps stimulate the blood circulation in the scalp, supporting hair growth and reducing the amount of thinning hair. Silk amino acids help repair damaged hair and improve overall texture, softness and shine.

The conditioner is infused with keratin to replace the lost keratin in damaged hair, improving strength, structure and smoothness. Jojoba oil helps to balance excess oil supporting healthy hair growth in the conditioner.
