Personnel Updates at Redken, Color Wow & L’Oréal Professionnel

L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division is announcing several strategic leadership appointments across some of its most influential brands.

L’Oréal’s Professional Products Division is announcing several strategic leadership appointments across some of its most influential brands: Redken, Color Wow and L’Oréal Professionnel.

These moves underscore the division’s continued investment in innovation, education, category leadership, and long-term growth within the professional salon landscape.

There are three major General Manager shifts that will shape PPD’s next phase, according to the company:

Mounia Tahiri named General Manager, Redken US
Following her high-impact tenure leading L’Oréal Professionnel, Tahiri steps into the GM role at Redken. Her appointment follows a series of transformative achievements across PPD, including leading Biolage to double-digit growth, architecting Ulta’s prestige haircare omni-model, and most recently guiding L’Oréal Professionnel past the $100M in sales milestone while strengthening its tech-driven identity. She now takes the helm of Redken as the brand expands its professional relevance, education ecosystem, and cultural influence.

Guillaume Duez named General Manager, Color Wow
With the close of L’Oréal’s acquisition of Color Wow, Duez will lead the brand alongside founder & CEO Gail Federici. He brings deep PPD experience across the DMI, marketing, and GM roles, including propelling Kérastase and Shu Uemura to more than 4x growth and elevating Redken to the #1 rank in Circana and Haircare Brand of the Year at Ulta. Guillaume’s leadership will guide Color Wow through a phased integration while maintaining the brand’s creative spirit and momentum across styling and problem-solution innovation.

Julie Fortier named General Manager, L’Oréal Professionnel
Most recently leading the division’s education transformation, Fortier has been instrumental in modernizing PPD’s education systems, building digital foundations, developing transversal structures, and expanding reporting and KPIs across brands. Prior to joining the U.S., she spent 18 years at L’Oréal Canada, including as GM for Kérastase & Shu Uemura where she doubled the business in three years. Her blend of commercial expertise, digital vision and education depth positions her to accelerate L’Oréal Professionnel’s growth and strengthen its salon partnership strategy.
