Persán SA Acquires Mibelle Group

Privately-held company manufactures homecare products in Spain, France and Poland.

Persán SA will acquire Mibelle Group. A purchase price was not disclosed. In February, Migros announced its intention to sell the Mibelle Group. The move was designed to find a new owner whose strategic direction is a better fit for the Mibelle Group and its strategy of global growth.

The acquisition includes all legal entities that form the Mibelle Group, all supplier and customer
contracts, as well as all employee contracts. Excluded from the acquisition is Mibelle’s former South Korean subsidiary, Gowoonsesang, which was acquired by L’Oréal.

A Family-Owned Homecare Manufacturer

Persán, Seville, is a family-owned company that’s been operating for more than 80 years. It is one of the largest manufacturers of homecare products in Europe with manufacturing facilities in Spain, France and Poland. In recent years, Persán embarked on a course of international expansion and has also started to build its presence in the personal care sector.

The acquisition of the Mibelle Group fits perfectly in Persán’s future growth strategy, according to Migros. The two companies complement each other very well in terms of expertise, technology, markets and production sites, according to the company.
