Novvia Group (Novvia) purchased Garrett Hewitt International (GHI), a New York-based supplier of plastic and glass containers and other cosmetic packaging products. A purchase price was not disclosed. Novvia, a global rigid container and life sciences packaging distributor, is backed by Kelso & Company.

Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Fishkill, NY, GHI primarily serves customers in the consumer beauty and fragrance markets. The combination strengthens Novvia’s presence in consumer packaging distribution following the company’s January 2025 acquisition of Saxco and simultaneous launch of its consumer product distribution division, according to company executives.

Jason Clerke, owner of GHI, continues running the business and managing day-to-day operations.

“We are thrilled to partner with Novvia to support our continued growth,” said Clerke. “We look forward to leveraging Novvia’s strong supplier relationships and resources to continue to provide value to our customers.”

The transaction marks Novvia’s first consumer-oriented acquisition since its acquisition of Saxco in January 2025.

“Since acquiring Saxco, we have been focused on identifying complementary consumer businesses and end markets with strong and durable growth profiles, diverse supply bases, and high degrees of fragmentation. GHI fits well within this consumer thesis,” said Ken Roessler, executive chairman of Novvia. “We look forward to working with Jason and his team to capitalize on these attractive attributes and continue the company’s growth trajectory,” added Roessler.
