Micro Powders, Inc. has been awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis.

The recognition places the company in the 97th percentile, among the top 5% of more than 130,000 companies assessed globally.

“We are honored to be recognized with our first-ever gold medal from EcoVadis for our sustainability performance. With EcoVadis raising the bar higher than ever, we are immensely proud of our team’s hard work to identify and act on opportunities for further advancement,” said Rich Czarnecki, vice president. “Our EcoVadis Gold rating reflects Micro Powders’ leadership and dedication to continuous improvement and enabling a more sustainable future with our products and processes.”

The addition of new sustainability initiatives resulted in an improved overall score by 16 points, with movement in all four rating pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. These initiatives include discontinuation of PFAS/PTFE products by the end of 2025 and proactively developing, educating and guiding formulators to incorporate bio-based and biodegradable ingredients.

In other sustainability efforts, Micro Powders is an ongoing participant in the United Nations Global Compact. This initiative is based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals. These efforts, officials said, are a testament to the company’s Core Values that Everyone Matters and Forward Thinking will drive reduced environmental impact and improved social responsibility.
