Last week, skin care brand CeraVe made it clear on social media that its skin care products were developed with dermatologists and not actor Michael Cera. The news followed hoopla around him signing bottles of CeraVe moisturizing cream around Manhattan and confusion around his affiliation with the brand. However, it appears the events are in connection with the actor’s participation in the brand’s first comical Super Bowl ad, the L’Oréal-owned brand confirmed per Adweek.

The campaign, which is created by WPP agency Ogilvy, includes a website called Iamcerave.com, which reads, “Human Skin is His Passion” beneath his name “Michael Cerave.”
