The Great and The Hydro Layer have been added to men’s skincare brand powered by patent-pending exosome technology.
September 21, 2025
By: Melissa Meisel
With men’s skincare becoming more of a spectacle, brands are upcoming their game when it comes to high-performing products.
Caldera + Lab, a premium skincare brand for men, has added two new products to its portfolio tailored to men’s unique skin makeup.
The Great is a clinically advanced anti-aging serum for rapid skin renewal, and The Hydro Layer is a lightweight anti-aging moisturizer. Both products are powered by Caldera + Lab’s patent-pending biomimetic exosomes engineered for men’s skin to improve absorption of plant-based ingredients. With billions of exosomes in each application, this first-to-market technology reportedly delivers 20 times the amount of active ingredients deep within men’s skin for visible results.
Backed by dermatological and clinical research, men’s skin is distinctly shaped by testosterone-driven biology. On average, it is 25% thicker, produces more oil, is more collagen-dense and ages with deeper wrinkles. These innovations are formulated to deliver deeper ingredient penetration, promote skin renewal and address damage caused by lifestyle, environmental stressors and aging.
Launching alongside these innovations is a refreshed brand identity, which entails an elevated look and feel that reflects Caldera + Lab’s focus on science-driven design, sustainability and simplicity.
Caldera + Lab’s patent-pending exosome technology utilizes biomimetic exosomes – nanoparticles 1,000 times smaller than a skin pore – engineered for men’s skin. This advanced delivery system encapsulates plant-based actives and guides them to the right layer of skin, where they can work most effectively.
At the core of all Caldera + Lab products is B3OS+ (biology, biomimetics and biotechnology), the first and only clinical R&D framework built for men’s skin. It begins with an understanding of men’s skin biology and its structural differences, combining this with plant-based ingredients that mimic natural pathways to target concerns unique to men. Advanced biotech practices further enhance the efficacy of each product to deliver powerful formulations for visible, clinically backed results.
“These two products mark the next step in our mission to deliver high-performing, clinically proven skincare for men,” said Jared Pobre, founder and CEO of Caldera + Lab. “After years of research and clinical testing, we’ve engineered proprietary ingredients that set a new standard in men’s skincare. By combining the powers of plant biotechnology with our own exosomes, we can deliver active ingredients with unprecedented precision and efficacy, outperforming ingredients like collagen and retinol. This innovative approach reflects our commitment to bringing uncompromising, science-backed products to men.”
Anti-aging serum The Great rapidly reduces signs of aging, visibly improving the appearance of lines and wrinkles, evening skin tone, and lifting and firming skin.
Each application delivers 150 billion biomimetic exosomes that encapsulate plant-based actives, delivering them deeper into the skin. Collagen amino acids support firmness and strengthen the skin barrier, while ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid provides powerful, lightweight hydration, ideal for men’s skin.
Adaptobiome, a blend of probiotic ferments, adaptogenic botanicals like Ashwagandha and Holy Basil and microalgae-derived Astaxanthin, helps balance the microbiome and protect skin from environmental stressors.
The Hydro Layer is a weightless, anti-aging moisturizer designed to firm and fortify, visibly reduce lines and wrinkles, minimize pores and hydrate men’s skin at every level. Powered by biomimetic exosomes and peptide growth factors, this formula goes far beyond surface hydration, visibly renewing skin and targeting signs of aging for a more youthful appearance.
A next-gen hydro complex of hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, and ceramides delivers lasting hydration and reinforces the skin barrier for improved skin resilience. The lightweight, gel-cream texture absorbs quickly for a shine-free, non-greasy finish.
The Great (30ml) retails for $110 and The Hydro Layer (55ml) retails for $65 at calderalab.com.
