The multi-year partnership will create anti-aging beauty products.
December 12, 2024

LVMH’s Beauty R&D Division—LVMH Recherche—has entered a strategic partnership with Integrated Biosciences to discover novel entities that target aging and create “science-backed skin youth and beauty products,” according to the company. Integrated Biosciences’ AI and optogenetics platforms will train deep learning models to virtually screen hundreds of thousands of molecules to identify promising chemical compounds that potently modulate age-related biological phenotypes, said the company. “This represents a unique opportunity to evaluate thousands of potential bioactives concurrently, revolutionizing the pace of our research for the benefit of all our brands, amongst them our flagship – Maison Parfums Christian Dior,” said Bruno Bavouzet, president, LVMH Recherche. “By combining our skin research expertise with their AI and aging research, we are taking a decisive step in understanding and molecularly addressing age-related cellular pathways.” Integrated Biosciences was founded by scientists at MIT, Harvard University and the University of California Santa Barbara and is known for reportedly pioneering the AI-driven discovery of a novel, anti-aging chemical entity that selectively clears pathological senescent “zombie” cells. Integrated Biosciences has consistently reported on its drug discovery engine in leading scientific journals, including Nature Aging, Nature and Cell Systems. “We are excited to integrate our proprietary technology platform with LVMH Recherche’s scientific programs, leveraging our ability to control biological stress responses to develop novel, targeted bioactive molecules,” said Felix Wong, PhD., cofounder and CEO of Integrated Biosciences. “Our combined efforts have the potential to unlock biologically functional products that could transform how people age.”
