The world’s biggest beauty company, L’Oréal, may get a bit bigger. The beauty giant is said to be in talks to acquire Medik8, a dermocosmetics brand. A L’Oréal spokesperson said the company would not comment on speculation. Medik8’s 2025 sales are expected to reach $115 million this year, after topping $100 million in 2024.

Medik8 was founded in 2009 by Elliot Isaacs, who has championed the use of vitamin A in skincare. Medik8’s No. 1 product is Crystal Retinal, a retinoid. It accounted for 82% of the company’s units sold in 2023.

The UK brand got its start in Europe. Now, it’s planning a US expansion.
