Dennis Laba’s 41-year career in the cosmetics industry has provided invaluable knowledge and insight for business, customers and suppliers. Presperse announced the retirement of Laba, director of regulatory affairs and QC, who has served the company for the past 15 years. According to the company, he is a highly regarded professional within the industry, having represented Presperse during Board meetings, at Personal Care Product Council (PCPC) and Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) meetings, as well as holding a Fellow status in the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) and as an instructor in one of their Continuing Education Courses. “When you think of the talented people that had the greatest impact on building Presperse’s business and outstanding reputation, Dennis is clearly one of the first individuals that comes to mind,” said Paulo Rodrigues, President and CEO of Presperse Corporation. “We are grateful to have had Dennis on Presperse’s team, building its foundation and then sharing his knowledge to the benefit of the Company and its employees.” Laba joined Presperse on February 10, 2003 and has worked in Product Management, R&D, Technical Marketing, and most recently served as Director of Regulatory Affairs and QC. Prior to Presperse, he spent 20 years at Elementis Specialties in various positions including Global Technical Manager. Prior to that, Laba worked six years in formulations and technical positions at Reheis Chemical and Block Drug Company. He holds a number of patents, has authored multiple articles and contributed chapters in several cosmetic books.
