The contract will extend through 2029.

La Roche-Posay is continuing to champion sun safety as the US Open’s official sunscreen partner with the renewal of its partnership. The contract will extend through 2029.
Officials say the extended agreement underscores the brand’s deepening commitment to promoting sun safety in sports and further cements its leadership in the global sun care market.
“We’re incredibly proud to extend our partnership with the US Open for the next five years, a move that reflects both our ongoing commitment to photoprotection and our dedication to the sport of tennis,” said Rachelle Mladjenovic, general manager of La Roche-Posay USA. “Whether you’re a professional athlete or a passionate fan, time in the sun comes with risks.
Since the start of the partnership in 2022, La Roche-Posay has worked alongside the US Open Tennis Championships to educate tennis fans and players on the importance of photoprotection, particularly in a sport where both athletes and spectators are exposed to up to eight times more harmful UV rays due to the hours spent outdoors. Skin cancer remains the most common cancer in the US, with one in five Americans developing skin cancer by the age of 70; yet only a reported 11% of people wear sunscreen daily.
“Our goal is to make sun safety second nature both on and off the court through education, free sunscreen distribution, and by providing free skin checks from board certified health care professionals,” added Mladjenovic.
On-site at the 2025 US Open, visitors can stop by the La Roche-Posay Sun Safety Booth at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for complimentary sunscreen samples to encourage proper application and reapplication; free skin checks from board-certified healthcare providers; sun safety education from dermatology experts; and participate in Rally Against the Sun interactive tennis game where fans can challenge the ultimate opponent, the sun itself.
La Roche-Posay will bring its sun safety mission into the gaming universe with an exclusive debut inside Roblox’s “US Open: Champions of the Court” experience. Through Sept. 1, players can enter a fully immersive Club La Roche-Posay-themed zone within the virtual Champions of the Court world where players will be directed to complete quests connected back to the day’s UV Index and collecting enough sunscreen scattered throughout Champions of the Court, to unlock limited-edition user-generated content drops. This interactive experience is designed to blend the thrill of gameplay with La Roche-Posay’s core mission: raising awareness around photoprotection, engaging a wide audience in a dynamic digital environment, in tandem with the brand’s continued partnership with the USTA.
The 2025 US Open begins with Fan Week and runs through Sunday, Sept. 7.
