Officials say the celebration strategically aligns with International Women’s Day on March 8 and celebrates the dynamic community that powers the spray tanning profession.

Previously observed on the third Thursday of March, officials say the new date allows the industry to honor women globally and recognize the many who own, create, elevate and innovate the spray tanning profession every day.

Many of these businesses began as passion projects that were built after work, on weekends, or as bold transitions into entrepreneurship. Today, they have become established brands known for confidence-building, inclusive beauty experiences, and exceptional client care.

Mobile spray tan artists have redefined accessibility. The new National Spray Tanning Day timing provides Innové Beauty & Wellness an opportunity to help salons and mobile artists drive support during several high-traffic seasonal moments, including spring break tanning, pre-summer skin preparation, prom season, bridal tanning season and other key occasions.
