Australia-based home scent brand Glasshouse Fragrances is taking a page from Canada’s striking landscapes with the introduction of its new Northern Peaks Collection.

Crafted in collaboration with Canadian artist Gary Alphonso, Northern Peaks evokes the quiet power and immersive beauty of Canada’s alpine winter. As the brand deepens its footprint in North America, the collection marks two years since their launch in Canada, and serves as both a strategic celebration of place and a reflection of its growing focus on regionally driven storytelling.

“Canada’s wild terrain is endlessly inspiring,” said Gary Alphonso, the Toronto-based artist behind the custom-designed vessels. “I wanted the artwork to evoke the stillness and awe you feel when standing at the foot of the Rockies, surrounded by snow and silence. It’s about serenity and reverence.”

Olfactory Love Letter to Canadian Winter

More than a seasonal launch, the makers say Northern Peaks is an olfactory love letter to the great Canadian winter. The collection’s two fragrances—Breathtaking Banff and Chalet Chic—bottle the season’s inherent duality: the thrill of snow-covered summits and the comforting stillness of a fireside retreat. Together, they take fragrance lovers on a journey through one of the world’s most iconic and visually stunning cold-weather landscapes.

Each fragrance is housed in a collectible jar illustrated by Alphonso, whose woodcut-style designs nod to the golden age of travel posters and evoke a sense of wanderlust and nostalgia.

Northern Peaks Collection

Breathtaking Banff – fig leaf & maple wood. Inspired by the crisp air and expansive views of Banff National Park, this scent pairs the freshness of green fig leaf with warm notes of maple wood, vanilla and caramelised fig.

The scent is available in a Triple Scented Candle (13.4 oz, $60/ $78 CAD) and Interior Fragrance & Paper Diffuser (5 fl oz, $55/$72 CAD).

Chalet Chic – Amberwood & Oud. A nod to cozy cabin escapes, the rich, smoky scent blends jasmine, spiced rum, clove bud and oud for a warm and layered fragrance. It is available in a Triple Scented Candle (13.4 oz, $60/$78 CAD).

The Northern Peaks Collection is now available online and at retailers across the US and Canada, including Bloomingdale’s and Anthropologie.com. Leading the list in Canada is Loshen & Crem, Glasshouse Fragrances’ very first Canadian retailer, alongside Bergo Designs, an iconic destination in Toronto’s historic Distillery District. Additional stockists include Oliver & Co Home, Bradshaws, Centro Garden and Teatro Verde, with further Canadian retail partners expected to roll out throughout the season.
