US Patent 12,540,294 B1 (Fenglei Li, Jieer Luo, Junli Li, Jianfeng Sun, Jieting Yan); Guangzhou Joyson Cleaning Products Co., Guangdong, China, has been awarded a US patent for a detergent composition that is comprised of:

  • 24-45% anionic surfactant;
  • 1-15% nonionic surfactant;
  • 10-30% of a plant polysaccharide selected from the group consisting of alginate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, pectin, inulin, carboxymethyl starch ether, hydroxypropyl starch ether, oxidized starch, carrageenan, or mixtures thereof;
  • 3-18% of a C3-C8 polyol as a shape promoting agent;
  • 5-20% builder;
  • 0-5% enzymatic preparation;
  • 0.5-5% chelating agent;
  • 0-0.5% essence; and
  • 10.5-30% water.
