Arcaea has launched Future Society, a line of six fine fragrances based off of the DNA sequences of extinct flowers, which Arcaea calls its Scent Surrection Collection.

“We can now experience something once thought forever lost, reinvented thanks to biotechnology and the imagination of the world's most renowned perfumers,” explained Company Founder and CEO Jasmina Aganovic

Aganovic said Arcaea’s mission is to make biology the most desired technology in beauty.

“We are doing so by shaping product categories through new ingredients and product experiences,” she explained. “Since our founding just two years ago, we have been immersed in the world of personal scent and how biology stands to transform the consumer experience across everything from deodorants to fine fragrances.”

Aganovic thanked Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. for its critical work that started this journey over 10 years ago and the perfumers that created these memorable fragrances: Daniela Andrier and Olivia Jan of Givaudan, and Jerome Epinette of Robertet Group.

“Fragrance has always been rooted in powerful storytelling and sensory experiences. We are excited to show how biology can create new stories and product experiences. Science is about more than clinical studies, it also represents new creative tools.” said Aganovic.

Retailing for $98 each (50ml), Future Society's full-sized fragrances are available now at WeAreFutureSociety.com and will roll out on Oct.16 on Nordstrom.com and in 20 Nordstrom doors. Discovery kits featuring all six fragrances (2ml each) will retail for $35 exclusively on WeAreFutureSociety.com.
