YSL Beauty has tapped Austin Butler as global ambassador of its new fragrance Myslf, its first

 

“I was honored to be asked to join the YSL Beauty family,” said Butler. “Over the last few years, I’ve spoken with people who knew M. Saint Laurent. He broke through labels. He was a rebel, and I love that about him. I feel privileged to be a part of the heritage he set in motion.”

 

The American rising star has already collaborated with some of the most prestigious directors —Quentin Tarantino, Baz Luhrmann, Jim Jarmusch and now Jeff Nichols and Denis Villeneuve for the upcoming Bikeriders and Dune: Part Two respectively. He was also in the Academy Award-nominated film “Elvis” and was recognized with an Academy Award nomination, in addition to a Golden Globe and a BAFTA win for Best Actor.

 

According to the brand, Butler embraces all the different facets he is: sensitive and authentic; confident, but approachable; effortless, but complex. International general manager, YSL Beauty, Stephan Bezy, said the brand felt Butler was the best fit to embody those qualities into the new fragrance and the definition of the modern man. 

A ‘Filmic Blast’ Campaign
