AAK USA: added Leaslie Carr to its team as marketing manager, AAK USA Inc. Based in Edison, NJ, she is responsible for marketing and business development for AAK USA and Canada. Carr has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and product development in the food ingredient industry. Her extensive experience in the food ingredient arena and intimate knowledge of the food industry will prove invaluable for AAK as it seeks to expand its business into new geographies and market segments, according to AAK. Carr joins AAK from Firmenich, where she served as business development manager for the savory foods North America business. Prior to Firmenich, she held numerous roles at Ingredion. She served as marketing manager for the Wholesome Springboard for Ingredion’s North America business. Her main area of responsibility was to manage the company’s portfolio of clean label products; this included marketing and business development, as well as strategy. She also served as senior associate, savory applications, in Ingredion’s global applications team. In that capacity, she led new product development, applied research and key regional and global customer projects. In addition, Carr served as project leader in the North American technical service team, where she was responsible for day-to-day technical service support and innovation delivery for key accounts and managing the food innovation pilot plant.
