In-Cosmetics Global, the world’s largest trade show and conference for the global beauty industry, returns to Paris, April 5-7, 2022.

The pandemic delayed In-Cosmetics Global for a couple of years. But the world’s largest trade show and conference will return to Paris on April 5-7, 2022. In a nod to the enormous changes during the past two years, In-Cosmetics Global will offer an online version from April 11-22. The City of Lights is always a draw for everyone in the cosmetics business. The last time In-Cosmetics Global took place in Paris, it attracted 12,366 unique visitors. According to Reed Exhibitions, that was a 31% increase over the 2018 event in London. Historically, In-Cosmetics Global welcomes 95% of the world’s top suppliers of personal care ingredients. Exhibitors come from all over the world, but Europe accounts for about 75% of visitors, with France being the top exhibitor country of origin. Among attendees, 35% are manufacturers of finished products and 22% are distributors. By job function, 27% are in research and development/formulation. France is the lead visitor country of origin, followed by Germany and the UK. More than Exhibits Besides hundreds of exhibitors, In-Cosmetics Global includes dozens of opportunities to learn from industry experts on a variety of topics including marketing trends, sustainability and technical seminars. Global Sustainability Corner will bring together speakers from beauty industry suppliers. In addition to a focus on sustainability, technical seminars will offer exhibitors a chance to showcase their latest innovations and inspire attendees looking for new ingredients for future product formulations. Both programs will be available during the In-Cosmetics Global Virtual follow-up event, April 11-22, where attendees can watch sessions on-demand and continue their quest to learn about the industry’s latest advancements. Show organizers note that the circular beauty challenge is fast being embraced by beauty and cosmetic brands around the world, as production methods and ingredients lifecycles are put under the spotlight as the industry looks to reduce its impact on the natural environment. With the EU’s Green Deal pushing Europe to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, the cosmetics and personal care industry, pushed by consumer demand and government regulations, is taking steps to embrace this new green direction. To aid visitors in their quest for circularity, speakers will address the topic, helping brand owners and R&D professionals understand what it means in real-life terms. The Formulation Lab provides the opportunity for formulators and R&D specialists to learn new techniques. “This year’s education program is second to none—with the Sustainability Corner and a multitude of technical seminars on offer, we are extremely excited to showcase and deliver a program packed full of personalized expertise which covers every corner of the beauty and personal care industry. There is certainly something on offer for everyone at the show this year in Paris,” said Exhibition Director Roziani Zulkifli. “What’s more, attendees can catch up on missed sessions online during our virtual event and gain access to an exclusive program of marketing trends sessions. This hybrid approach to networking and education will help extend the excitement experienced on-site over the three days. We look forward to welcoming our exhibitors, attendees and speakers both in-person and online this coming April.” Attendees can learn more about new materials in the In-Cosmetics Innovation Zone. The Innovation Zone showcases the newest raw materials to hit the market, with each box displaying an ingredient launched in the past six months. According to organizers, this is one of the most popular features at the show. It gives attendees the opportunity to find the ingredients that will give them an edge on their competition. The R&D Tour is only open to R&D professionals from cosmetics/contract manufacturers. The Indie Trail is available in a digital format for on-site visitors. It highlights the location and company details of exhibitors who supply ingredients and support smaller production runs. www.in-cosmetics.com
