Charge water (A). With moderate mixing add A. Begin heating batch to about 40°C. Add B. Mix until melted & uniform. Remove from heat & add cocamidopropyl betaine. Mix until homogeneous. When system is below 40°C add desired preservative (D). Adjust pH using citric acid solution.
Appearance—clear to translucent; pH—5.50-6.00; Viscosity target—4,000-10,000 *Brookfield RV#5@20 rpm, 25°C’ Stability—8 weeks @ 5°C, RT,& 45°C, & 3 cycles of freeze/thaw.
