Procedure

Phase A - In main vessel combine hhase A and heat to 70°C to 75°C. Phase B - In a side vessel combine phase B and begin heating to 70°C to 75°C with mixing. Phase C - At 45°C, add phase C to phase B. Once uniform and at temperature, add phase BC to phase A with increased mixing. Phase D - Continuing heating and mixing, add phase D to phase BC mixture. Phase E - While mixing add phase E to phase BCD. Incorporate to phase A with moderate to high mixing. Once uniform discontinue heat. Phase F - Add phase F and begin to cool the batch to 30°C to 35°C. Batch will undergo a phase change, continue mixing until it becomes a uniform cream. Phase G - At 40°C to 45°C add Phase G slowly. Mixture will thicken. If needed, homogenize at 300rpm for 1 minute. Phase H - Add Phase H and transfer at 25°C to 30°C.

Properties

pH: 8.08; Viscosity: #7 @ 3.0 rpm (25°C) - 75,000 to 80,000 cst.
