Phase A - In main vessel combine Phase A ingredients and begin heating to 40-45°C. Phase B - Pre-mix Phase B as a slurry and slowly add to Phase A. Mix until uniform. Once completely uniform, heat to 65-70°C. Phase C - In side vessel combine Phase C and heat to 65-70°C. At temperature, add Phase C to Phase AB, increasing mixing as needed to emulsify. Discontinue heat. Phase D - Pre-mix Phase D and adjust pH of phase to 4.20. Once Phase ABC has cooled to 40-45°C, add Phase D slowly to main vessel. Phase E - Add Phase E slowly to Phase ABCD in formula order. Batch will thicken. Phase F - Add Phase F to Phase ABCDE and adjust pH if needed.
pH: 4.5 to 5.0. Viscosity: spindle #5 at 30 rpm (25°C) – 3,200 to 3,700 cst.
