Dr. Ratan Chaudhuri has been named to Inc. Magazine's Top 10 Inspiring Business Leaders to Watch in 2022. He is founder and CEO of Sytheon Ltd. According to Inc., “by revolutionizing the skincare industry and creating high performing active ingredients, Chaudhuri has made a tremendous impact in the industry. With his innovative business strategy and ability to differentiate from the crowd he has made a dynamic contribution within the cosmetic industry.” Sytheon is a US-based company with European and Asian affiliates in France and Singapore. Born and raised in India, Chaudhuri pursued his first job at the University of Bonn, Germany. Later, he joined the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Switzerland before accepting a new role at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1980. He joined ISP Chemicals in 1985, and later in 1996, he moved to EMD Chemicals as the technical director of personal care. He served EMD Chemicals for over a decade and gained valuable experience and insights into the personal care industry, which he leveraged to create Sytheon in 2006. Sytheon’s portfolio includes Sytenol A (Bakuchiol), which fights the effects of aging and pollution, promotes hydration and well-aging and provide sneeded solutions to combat existing skin problems or enhance skin’s defenses against the damaging effects of sun exposure. A recent study conducted by Dr. Sivamani at UC-Davis and published in the British Journal of Dermatology concluded that Bakuchiol is comparable to retinol in its ability to improve photoaging and is better tolerated than retinol. This study eventually spiked the interest in Sytenol A to an unprecedented level and became a new gold standard in anti-aging products. Sytheon’s Asyntra D-Stress is a patent-pending ingredient that synergizes with CBD/Hemp oil to augment its most positive attributes. Combination of the two ingredients helps lower cortisol levels to help manage inflammation while simultaneously strengthening skin’s barrier function for a smoother and more hydrated, radiant-looking skin.
