Kobo made a donation to Itiah Angels for Learning. The monetary gift supports education for more than seven girls in Haiti.

“I truly appreciate that Kobo recognizes our efforts in transforming the lives of these little girls. For this, I will be forever grateful,” said Itiah Founder Marie Thadal. “Supporters like Kobo, give us the energy to stay motivated and to continue working on this life-saving mission.”

The school day is about to start at Ecole Mere Louise.
Kobo’s gift enhances the educational opportunities for the children. By supporting Itiah Angels for Learning (IAFL), companies bypass the corrupt political machine running the government in that country, according to Thadal. IAFL is an independent entity that is reaching the student directly via Ecole Mere Louise (Mother Louise School). The school was founded in 1865 to provide quality education to the poorest children.

“I am happy that Kobo can contribute to the education and growth of these children,” added Debbie Schlossman, SVP-sales & marketing, Kobo.

Thadal, VP-sales, Coptis, Inc., founded  Itiah in 2018. She was inspired after visiting Haiti, her homeland, which had been devastated by earthquakes.
