Estée Lauder Presents Data on Free Radicals, Scalp Aging, Skin Energy and More at ISID Meeting

Aveda, Lab Series and Estée Lauder brands will present posters and ELC will host a symposium on skin hydration in Tokyo where it is a gold-level sponsor.

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (ELC) and its brands will be presenting data at the International Societies for Investigative Dermatology (ISID) Meeting, which begins tomorrow (May 10) in Tokyo. ELC says it top global scientists spanning the company’s portfolio of prestige beauty brands will be presenting.

ISID is a major dermatology event; it takes place every five years.  ELC is a Gold Sponsor of ISID 2023.

“As a brand-led innovation company, our scientists, engineers and product developers combine science and creativity to create transformative prestige beauty products that deliver impactful results,” said Jane Anders, SVP – Asia Pacific (APAC) innovation, R&D, product development and packaging development.

Poster presentations will include one from the Estée Lauder brand on free radicals and intracellular pH, 2 from the Aveda brand on scalp aging, one from the Lab Series brand on men’s skin energy and one from ELC on a novel clinical testing protocol to assess skin inflammation in response to UV exposure across skin types. ELC will also host a symposium focused on skin hydration and what it is calling “an innovative collaboration launching soon in Japan.”

Renovated Innovation Hub in Japan

ELC’s recently renovated Japan Innovation Hub focuses on product innovation and development, package design, and scientific communication with a particular focus on skin care. It partners closely with additional innovation centers across Asia, including ELC’s new China Innovation Labs in Shanghai, and hubs in Hong Kong, Seoul and Singapore. The company says it is making investments across its end-to-end value chain in Japan, APAC and worldwide to deliver enhanced innovations for its consumers.

ELC’s new state-of-the-art Sakura Manufacturing Campus, which is being constructed in Ibaraki Prefecture, will feature a best-in-class engineering technology center, according to the beauty giant, which is No. 2 in Happi’s Top 50 Report. The company’s R&D/innovation, engineering and supply chain teams across APAC will partner closely from product formulation and inception to mainstream manufacturing production to optimize consumer benefits and exceptional craftsmanship, quality and safety, according to ELC.
