AB Specialty Silicones is launching a new line of silicone ingredients that operate as functional alternatives to dimethiconol gum blends, which like many silicones, are in short supply. AB Specialty Silicones is exhibiting at In Cosmetics on Oct. 17th & 18th at the Javits Center show at booth #C75 where they will have samples and literature available.

Vinyl gum blends are recommended for use in skin care, color cosmetics, sun care and hair care applications.

According to AB Specialty Silicones, this line of vinyl gum blends function the same as their dimethiconol gum blend counterparts, however they have different INCI designations. In skin care, they provide long wear of actives on skin, water resistance and a unique skin feel. For hair care, these materials add anti-frizz properties and conditioning to prevent split ends.
