Consumers have a strong attraction to magnetic lash brand Glamnetic.

During the recent holiday season, the brand surpassed 1.1 million orders on Shopify, the e-commerce platform that allows entrepreneurs to start, grow and manage a business.

Glamnetic CEO Ann McFerran.
The milestone comes just three years after Glamnetic was started by CEO and Co-founder Ann McFerran who said the brand has collectively garnered over nine figures in revenue.

“We definitely have some spikes during holiday times but we find people come back on a consistent basis because once you try our products people become addicted and come back because our products really do save you time, money and effort,” McFerran told Happi.

The pull?

“Our magnetic lashes have the strongest hold on the market and are premium high-quality, vegan and multidimensional,” McFerran told Happi. “With proper care, our lashes last up to 60 uses.”

Other reasons why consumers are attracted to the brand? Glamnetic has one of the largest selections of press-on nails in the market and some of the trendiest styles, according to McFerran.

“With proper care and application, our nails last up to two weeks wear.  We launch new nail styles on almost a monthly basis and work really fast to bring your favorite IG [nail selfie inspiration] to life.”

She attributes Glamnetics burgeoning success to a variety of factors—including digital marketing.

“What we really focus on here at Glamnetic is having a strong product, community building, having a clear mission and ethos. For us, it's DIY beauty and saving consumers time money and effort on their beauty routine,” McFerran explained, “and being savvy as possible across the modern-day marketing mix, of which digital advertising is a big part of that mix. We consistently invest over eight figures a year into building the brand through digital marketing.”

Glamnetic was founded in July 2019. McFerran had been an avid wearer of false eyelashes; she identified a need in the market when she witnessed friends struggling to apply lashes.

“I saw that the original magnetic lashes start gaining popularity and tried to solve the problem but it wasn’t executed well — they were cumbersome and almost impossible to put on and they were thin and plastic-y, so I reimagined what that would look like and I wanted to create Glam magnetic lashes,” recalled McFerran.

Glamnetic is short for glam magnetic, which McFerran started out of her Koreatown apartment in NYC, which she then bootstrapped with her business partner, cofounder Kevin Gould.

McFerran wears Glamnetic every day because they make her feel beautiful. That’s a feeling, she says, that resonates with customers.

“I wear them every single day. I feel beautiful and glam with them on,” said McFerran. “I feel like the lashes really enhance my facial features, and the nails just make me feel complete and fashionable as I’m always changing out my nails for new styles to match my mood and vibe since I get bored easily— and because they’re so easy to switch I can change them like I change my outfits!”

Glamnetic lashes retail for $29.99; the liner is $37.99. The brand’s press-on nails average around $15 per style and last up to two weeks.
