The Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA) has tapped Captain Christopher Cassidy, a retired US Navy SEAL and NASA astronaut, and Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Brody Mullins, to speak at its mid-year meeting in Washington, DC on May 12-14.

The conference, which will take place at the Capital Hilton, will congregate subject-matter experts, policy influencers and innovators to discuss legislation, regulatory developments, and the pressing challenges and opportunities impacting the household and commercial products industry.

Capt. Christopher Cassidy

Christopher Cassidy served 11 years in the SEAL Teams before his selection as a NASA astronaut in 2004. A combat-proven leader, he graduated as Honor Man of BUD/S Class 192 and earned two Bronze Stars – including one with Combat “V” – as well as a Presidential Unit Citation for commanding a high-profile mission along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border in the aftermath of 9/11.

Captain Cassidy will share his inspiring journey from the US Naval Academy to becoming NASA’s 15th Chief Astronaut, motivating audiences to develop a never-quit mindset to accomplish their goals, while also helping others along the way.

Brody Mullins

Brody Mullins won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting for stories in “The Wall Street Journal” that exposed thousands of high-ranking government officials who owned stock in companies they regulate.

During his two decades as an investigative reporter, Mullins wrote scores of ground-breaking stories about the intersection of business and politics, exposing scandals that prompted new laws and regulations. He lectures audiences on how Washington used to work, President Trump’s effect on it, and tips on how trade associations can disseminate their messages in today’s times.
