LG H&H and L’Oréal are showcasing wearable LED skincare devices at CES.

LG H&H’s Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch—a honoree in beauty tech category—is said to simultaneously enhance cosmetic efficacy and stimulate cellular activation through AI-driven data analysis.

The ultra-thin, stretchable LED patches analyze facial images, segment the eye area into micro-zones and evaluate skin conditions to provide optimized light protocols. A biomimetic interface, infused with topical formulations, conforms to facial contours to improve active ingredient delivery and maximize light energy efficiency, according to LG H&H.

L’Oréal’s Prototype

In addition to a new hair styling tool, L’Oréal is showing a prototype LED face mask at the annual consumer electronics show in Las Vegas.

The ultra-thin silicone mask was developed with iSmart. L’Oréal believes testing will show that the LED face mask combats visible signs of aging like fine lines, sagging and uneven tone through targeted red light and near-infrared light.

The mask reportedly integrates a skin-safe microcircuit to precisely control the emission of two wavelengths of light—red light (630 nm) and near-infrared light (830 nm).

With a lightweight, flexible design, the mask will integrate seamlessly into daily skincare routines, with timed 10-minute sessions, according to L’Oréal. The beauty giant says it expects the mask to launch sometime in 2027.

In the US, this type of mask is subject to FDA 510(k) premarket notification process.
