Phase C

Procedure

Phase A - Combine Phase A in main vessel in formula order. Begin heating to 70°C to 75°C. Phase B - In a separate vessel, combine Phase B ingredients. Heat liquid ingredients to 70°C to 75°C, then add the remainder and continue heating. Add Stabylen 30 last into oil phase. At temperature, slowly add Phase B to Phase A with increased mixing as needed. Discontinue heat. Phase C - Once cooled below 35°C, add Phase C slowly. If needed, adjust pH with 30% KOH solution.

Properties

pH: 6.0 to 6.5; Viscosity: spindle T-C @ 50 rpm = 13,900 to 15,000 cst.
